  4. BB Padi. Sumber Iptek Tanaman Padi.  Indonesian Center for Rice Research (ICRR) is located in Sukamandi, Subang. West Java, 26 km East of Cikampek. A brief chronological story behind the establishment of ICRR is started with the establishment of the Sukamandi Branch of Central Research Institute for Food Crops (CRIFC) during the period of 1972-1980. It became the Sukamandi Research Institute for Food Crops (SURIF) between 1980-1994. And then became the Indonesian Institute for Rice Research (IIRR) in 1994 as an echelon III-A organization. Finally, in 2006 by the decree of Ministry of Agriculture No.12/ Permentan/OT.140/3/2006 the institution was promoted from echelon III-A to be echelon II-B and named as the Indonesian Center for Rice Research (ICRR) with the main mandate to carry out research on rice. Kami para petani menunggu dengan penuh harapan, kapan varitas padi IIRI 400 disebar luaskan ke daerah-daerah terutama di P Jawa, agar dengan luas lahan yang terbatas, bisa menghasilkan padi berlimpah, sehingga Indonesia tidak perlu lagi mengimpor beras. Hal ini sangat penting bagi kemakmuran dan kesejahteraan rakyat. Tolong jangan dipersulit dengan biaya sertifikasi yang terasa memberatkan pihak penemunya. Terima kasih
